CULINARY CLUB
Culinary Club of Silver Point School
motivates the students to have a healthy food
habits create awareness about benefit of eating
healthy food. The purpose of the Culinary
Club is to provide an environment for students
to, socialize, be creative, learn cooking skills,
and have fun. Culinary Club students prepare
food and enjoy eating the results. The motive
of our Culinary Club is to help spread
knowledge about food through teaching and
exploring the different aspects of the Culinary
Arts.
ACTIVITIES
'MISHMASH' A MIXED SALAD FEST
Culinary club members of Silver Point School senior
section presented 'Mishmash' a mixed salad fest in
school on Friday 19th February 2021.
From a market survey to buying the ingredients,
preparing and basic tossing was done by the
students themselves with guidance from their
teachers. The decoration, placement of the salads
and the budgeting was appreciated by all adults
present in school. Indeed a happy learning
experience for the budding entrepreneurs!
World Water Day Celebration
On 22.3.2021 World Water Day Celebration
Organised by Culinary Club of Silver Point School
Students of class IX to Xl Performed extraordinarily
and explained the importance of water. The
celebration ended with a pledge to "save water".
When we do not have water, we understand its
importance, before you run out of it, save it! There
won’t be any green if there is no blue! Each drop of
water is precious, just like a pearl! We solely
depend on water, if there's no water, there's no
life!
World Health Day
World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7th
of April. It is the day that usually marks the
beginning of a new campaign that seeks to
promote a healthy world. Observing World Health
Day is considered important because it is an
opportunity to draw the
attention of the students
towards a specific health
problem and raise
awareness about it. Eco
Club and Culinary Club
arranged a workshop by Regional study center of
Nutrition for the students of Class Xl and Xll. It was
an Interactive session with topics ranging from
nutrition and healthy
eating, fitness to
creating a workout
routine, strategies to
stressing less. Students
enjoyed the valuable
and informative session. On the occasion of World
Health day, students from classes IV to Vl
participated in the online drawing competition
organised by Birla Industrial and Technological
Museum. Theme - Health is wealth Students
participated with great
enthusiasm. Competition
provided a platform for
their creative expression.
Wonderful informative
webinar by Dr.Sharmistha
Behera (Ophthalmologist)
organised by Eco Club and
Culinary Club . The webinar enlightened teachers
and students about how to take care of our eyes
and shared a helpful trick called the 20-20-20 rule:
(Every 20 minutes, look at
something 20 feet away for 20
seconds)and warned us about
the deleterious effect of using
makeup for eyes i.e waterproof
kajal, mascara. The eyes are the
most highly developed sensory
organs.
