BAISAKHI

Skit on Jallianwala Bagh Massacre

On the occasion of Baisakhi, the students of
our primary wing presented a touching skit
on the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, bringing
history to life with emotion and respect.
The performance began with children joyfully
celebrating Baisakhi, dressed in colorful
traditional attire, showcasing the harvest
festival’s spirit. Soon, the scene shifted to the
peaceful gathering at Jallianwala Bagh in 1919.
Through expressive acting and narration, the
students portrayed how a day of joy turned
tragic when General Dyer ordered firing on
innocent people.
The audience was deeply moved by the
performance, which helped the young minds
understand the significance of Baisakhi as a
day not only of harvest but also of sacrifice
and remembrance.

Baisakhi Kite-Making Activity by Primary Classes

As part of the Baisakhi celebrations, primary wing students took part in
a joyful kite-making activity, where they created colorful kites
decorated with traditional designs, farmers, and festive symbols. The
activity helped them understand the cultural importance of Baisakhi,
especially how kite flying is a part of the harvest celebrations in many
regions. It was a fun, creative experience that blended art with learning,
filling the classrooms with color, excitement, and the spirit of the
festival.
EARTH DAY
Earth Day Celebration: A Joyful Tribute to
Nature
Earth Day at SKPS was celebrated with great
enthusiasm and a strong collective spirit. A variety of
creative and awareness-driven activities were
organized to instill eco-friendly values in students
across all age groups. From the youngest learners to the
senior students, everyone participated wholeheartedly
in making the event a grand success.

writing Competition
Students from Classes 6th to 10th showcased
their creativity and concern for the
environment through vibrant posters and
powerful slogans. The poster-making and
slogan writing competitions highlighted
themes of conservation and sustainability,
with winners impressing judges through
artistic expression and thought-provoking
messages for a greener planet.
Dramatic Wake-Up Call
Students took the stage with a thought-provoking
skit that depicted the harsh effects of
environmental negligence. Through expressive
dialogue and emotive acting, the students
conveyed a powerful message about the
consequences of our actions on the planet. Their
performance left a lasting impression on the
audience, reinforcing the urgency of adopting
sustainable practices. The skit was not only
educational but also emotionally stirring,
showcasing the students' talent and awareness.

Young Creators Celebrate Earth Day

Primary students enthusiastically
participated in tattoo-making and poster-
making activities, creatively expressing their
love for nature. From colorful tattoos to
thoughtful posters, the events promoted
environmental awareness while nurturing
artistic talents and teamwork among the
young learners.
Promoting Sustainable Habits: The Waste
Segregation
The EcoClub launched the “Segregate Today,
Sustain Tomorrow” campaign, which focuses on
proper waste management. Students were
educated about segregating waste at the
source and were encouraged to adopt
sustainable practices both at school and at
home. These steps, though small, are essential
building blocks for a cleaner and healthier
environment.

At SKPS, the EcoClub is playing a pivotal role

in nurturing environmental awareness among
students. Under the dedicated guidance of
our science teacher, Mrs. Sushil, students are
actively participating in innovative and
meaningful green initiatives that aim to build a
sustainable future.
Hands-On Learning Through Medicinal
Plant Sapling Plantation
As part of their activities, students
enthusiastically took part in planting saplings
of medicinal plants, gaining hands-on
experience while learning about the healing
properties of nature. These experiences
helped them understand the importance of
plants in traditional medicine and the
ecological value they hold, fostering a deeper
connection with the natural world.
Blending Technology with Nature
In a unique blend of technology and
environmental science, students also learned
to generate QR codes under the mentorship
of Mrs. Sushil. These codes were carefully
created and placed on various trees around
the school campus. When scanned, the QR
codes provide detailed information about
each tree — including its name, species, uses,
and other interesting facts. This innovative
activity transformed the school environment
into an interactive, knowledge-rich green
space, encouraging students to explore and
appreciate biodiversity in a meaningful way.
