Hi I am Gouri, a Calligrapher & Engraver by profession and an Aesthete by passion.
Calligraphy for me is more than just a profession, it's my taste. It's my byproduct. My journey began by creating cards for
my Family and that is where my relationship with the pen developed and I started enjoying the profession, from which
@lavenderinkstudio was a born.
My first calligraphy set was a gift, and like they say some things are just meant to be. It took a lot of practice and burning
the mid night oil doing online courses but it was all worth it and it got me to what I do today. Calligraphy is not just what I
do anymore, it is who I am.
Sometimes unplanned adventures create the most beautiful journeys. As my passion for lettering grew, I started taking up
lots of courses and learnt different scripts online. Since there was a lot of time for learning and exploring during the
lockdown, I found myself getting deeper into the creative side of calligraphy. I moved from paper and ink to engraving on
glasses and acrylics, to digital calligraphy to acrylic signages. There is lots more to explore for me and each and every project
has got a lot of learning !!
