Steps to Create APAAR/ABC ID Card
ABC: Academic Bank of Credits
APAAR: Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry
Introduction
As per the direction of the University Grants Commission (UGC), it is mandatory for all the students to create Academic Bank of Credits
APAAR/ABC ID Card. The same has to be uploaded to your Online Admission Portal during Enrollment.
This document lists the detailed steps with the values to be selected for the Institution Type and Institution Name fields for SRMUH.
Sign in to DigiLocker
1. Sign in to DigiLocker
2. Launch this URL
https://www.digilocker.gov.in/
3. Click “Sign In” and Sign In to your
DigiLocker account.(If DigiLocker
account does not exists, create one Using
“Sign up”)
4. Please have your Aadhaar Number and the
registered mobile number with you. OTPs
are sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile
number.
DigiLocker Home page
1. On Successful login, the DigiLocker
Landing page will be displayed.
Search Documents
1. Enter “ABC” in the search text box.
2. From the Search Results, Click on the
result “ABC ID Card – Academic Bank of
Credits
Identity Type
1. Click on the “Identity Type”.
2. The “Identity Type” popup will be
displayed.
3. Select “New Admission”/Admitted
4. Click “OK”
Identity Value
Enter your 11 digit SRM Registration Number
/the “Identity Value” area
Admission Year
Select the respective year as “Admission Year”
Like: 2024

Institution Name
1. Select the “Institution Name”
2. Institution Name popup will be displayed.
3. In the popup, scroll down and Select the
“Institution Name”.
4. For example, “S.R.M. University
Haryana(you may use browser search
Ctrl+F also).
5. This value appears as Second Item when
you type S.R.M
6. Select “S.R.M. University Haryana”
and Click OK
Get Document
1. Click the “Get Document” button

1. The APAAR/ABC ID Card will be
created / fetched from the Issuer.
2. Click on the APAAR/ABC ID Card row,
to view the APAAR/ABC ID Card. The
ID card will be displayed as given below.
3. Take a screenshot of this and save as
image. You may also download and save
the PDF for your reference
