BOTANY

Practicals are meant for testing the skills of

the student. Practical examination is a means
to assess how best the student uses his hands
as tools and performs the experiments. It also
tests the student's observation and drawing
skills. Hence the student of Biology stream
should be thorough with the methods of
performing practicals in all the four subjects
viz., Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry.
Regarding Botany the student should know
about the model of the question paper and the
scheme of valuation so as to stress on the
important areas and ignore the unnecessary
details which kill their time during the
examination.
An analysis of the Question paper with
Scheme of Valuation is given below for the
benefit of the student:
Time: 3Hrs.
Max marks: 30
I. Describe vegetative and floral characters
of the given twig 'A' in technical terms.

inflorescence and L.S. of flower. Give floral diagram and floral formula. Identify
its family.
