152011 RATIFICATION OF ELECTORAL CODE 2011

Promulgated: 28 December 2011 WHEREAS, according to Article XV, Section 4 of the 2005 Constitution, The Ateneo COMELEC shall have an electoral code, which should at all times be in full agreement with this constitution. In the event of non-concurrence this constitution shall supersede the particular article or section of the electoral code. This electoral code shall be reviewed yearly and revised accordingly by the current Board of Commissioners subject to Student Judicial Court concurrence. WHEREAS, according to Article XV Section 2 of the Electoral Code 2010, This Code shall expire once a new electoral code has been passed by the Commissioners of the Ateneo Commission of Elections, and after approval of the same by the Magistrates of the Student Judicial Court... WHEREAS, under Article XIV, Section 3b of the Constitution, the COMELEC is vested with power to promulgate rules and regulations, as well as decisions and instructions, regarding previously stated matters by virtue of a resolution; NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in it by the 2005 Constitution of the Undergraduate Students of the Ateneo de Manila, the Ateneo Commission on Elections RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to promulgate the effectivity of the Electoral Code 2011 ratified on the 27th day of December 2011 by the Board of Commissioners, in concurrence with the Student Judicial Court Magistrates.
