UNIT 2: PERSONAL EXPERIENCES Period 7: Lesson 1: READING

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice reading skill, through guessing meaning in the context and understanding the sequence of event in story. II. Materials: text book, poster III. Anticipated problems: SS may get difficulties in Vocabulary. T should help Ss remember new words, way to guess the meaning of the words. IV. Procedure: Time Content Ts and Ss activities 5 A. Warmer: Slap the board - T sticks 5 pictures on the board - money - TV and divides class into two groups - bag - bus (A & B). - hat - Now, look at the blackboard. How many pictures do we have ?(5) Each st from each group will come to the BB. When I speak out the word, who slaps the correct picture first will get one mark. Which group gets more marks will be the winner. - How many groups do we have? (2) - Who belongs to group A, raise your hand? - How many Ss from each group will come to the BB? -Now, lets start the game. - When Ss finish the game, T congratulates the winner.

We are going to play the game named Lucky Stars One student in each group will choose a star. Each star is an exercise. Do the exercise correctly, you will get 10 marks. If you choose the lucky star you dont have to do the exercise but you also get 10 marks. The group gets more sticks will win. T will use the chalk to decide which group will go first.
