Summer Internship (April to May 2011) Company HAL Project Title Study on the Final Assembly line of ALH Project Details Studied the final assembly line of Advanced Light Helicopter and suggested the ways of improving it.

Project Methodology:

The project covered detailed analysis on the different departments like the Final
Assembly line, the sub assemblies, the Integrated Materials departments, and the Maintenance & Repair Overhaul department Management

The methodology used to gather data was to first read the process manual then
have a one on one interview with the department head and then observe the actual working of the department Recommendations to HAL: A total of 13 recommendations were given to HAL, which includes recommendations as to how they can: Improve their day to day operations Improve the Final Assembly line of ALH Better process for material handling

Reduce the cycle time of the assembly of ALH
