Hello! These are the instructions for installing a LabVIEW 2011 for use with a 1 year license.

Here is how to install and activate LabVIEW 2011 with the 1 year license: 1. Go to : https://lumen.ni.com/nicif/us/acadevallvdl/content.xhtml 2. Download LabVIEW Development System 32 bit.

3. The download is an exe file which is itself a download manager. It will download the full file for you. Follow the instructions and it will unzip and start the installation process. 4. You don't need to enter a name or organization. 5. Click next without entering anything in the serial number input text boxes. This will install the

product in evaluation mode.

6. Select installation destination (just leave it default unless you really need to change it). 7. Click next through the feature selection, you don't need to change anything.

8. Click next until it starts installing. (If it attempts to contact the server to check for notifications and it fails, don't worry, just hit next.) You will have to accept several licenses to get the installation to start. It may take a while, up to 10 minutes on a slow laptop. At the end of the installation, there will be a pop-up about Installing Hardware Support. Decline the support.

9. You may have to restart your computer, do so now if the installer prompts you to. 10. Download the Labview Ambassador2_2012_Expiring Student Install.lic file from the ni.com. Search Ambassador2_2012_Expiring Student Install.lic in the search bar 11. Open NI License Manager: Start Programs National Instruments NI License Manager

12. Drag and drop the License File into the NI License Manager:

13. Locate the License in the NI License Manager window. Expiring Student Install under Academic Spring 2011. Right-click and select Activate.

14. A window will pop up, the NI Activation Wizard, and the default option should already be selected Automatically activate through a secure Internet connection. Just click next.

15. Enter the serial number H11X40881 and follow prompts to activate via the internet. You will have to enter your first and last names and an organization (use Kansas State University). 16. After a successful activation, you will see the following pop-up window:

17. You will now be able to open LabVIEW. When you first run LabVIEW, a window will pop-up displaying the number of days remaining for your license. Select Launch LabVIEW to proceed. Do not show this dialog again should be selected by default. Go ahead and start exploring!
