Multi-Phase Research Project
In fourth semester, the students will have to submit a Research Project Report on a
problem/topic (from the specialization areas) to be assigned by the MBA department under the
supervision of a core faculty member of the department.
In view of the early joining, being offered in MBA-IV Semester, it has been decided to
integrate Winter Project, Mini Project 2, and Research Project Report with a Multi-Phase
Research Project (MPRP) in MBA program. The MPRP will be conducted as an individual
student exercise under the supervision of a faculty member. The MPRP will include the
following phases:
First Phase [Second Semester]: The students will select an industry, conduct a primary
literature review, and develop hypotheses. This study will be compiled and presented for
evaluation as Mini Project 2 as per AKTU evaluation scheme. [Completed]
Second Phase [Third Semester]: The students will extend Mini Project 2, collect
primary data, conduct data analysis, and produce results. The report will be presented and
evaluated as per AKTU evaluation scheme for Research Project Report.
The students are expected to complete the following steps of Multi-Phase Research Project in III
Semester.

Guidelines
The MPRP should be based on the primary data collection and analysis
The MPRP should include testing of at least one hypothesis
MPRP Guidelines 5
The MPRP findings should be based on a proper statistical analysis [not just the graphs]

Certificate of Originality
This research project report is a compulsory academic part of my MBA program of
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University at SRMSCET, Bareilly.
I know that plagiarism means taking and using the ideas, writings, works, images, graphs,
findings, or inventions of another as if they were one’s own. I know that plagiarism not only
includes verbatim copying, but also the extensive use of another person’s ideas without proper
acknowledgment (which includes the proper use of quotation marks). I know that plagiarism
covers this sort of use of material found in textual sources and from the Internet.
I acknowledge and understand that plagiarism is wrong.
I understand that my research project must be accurately referenced. I have followed the
rules and conventions concerning referencing, citation and the use of quotations as set out in the
project guide.
This research is my own unique work. I acknowledge that copying someone else’s
assignment, or part of it, is wrong and that submitting identical work to others constitutes a form
of plagiarism.
I have not allowed, nor will I in the future allow, anyone, to copy my work to pass it off
as their own work.
