Principal Architect / CEO


Qualifications: Licensed Architect
Role: Provides strategic vision, oversees design quality and sustainability standards,
leads business development, and builds client relationships.
Reports to: Board of Directors (if applicable).
2. Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Qualifications: Licensed Architect or Construction Management Professional
Role: Manages day-to-day operations, coordinates design and build teams, ensures
project timelines and budgets are adhered to, and oversees cross-departmental
coordination.
Reports to: Principal Architect / CEO.
3. Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)
Qualifications: Licensed Architect with a specialization in sustainable design (LEED,
WELL certification a plus)
Role: Integrates sustainable practices into all projects, manages environmental
compliance, and leads efforts to achieve sustainability certifications.
Reports to: Principal Architect / CEO.

Design Department

4. Design Director
Qualifications: Licensed Architect
Role: Leads the creative direction of all projects, ensures aesthetic and functional
consistency, and oversees the design process.
Reports to: Principal Architect / CEO.

Subordinates:

o Senior Architect – Experienced in managing complex design projects,


mentors Junior Architects, and supports design leads in project execution.
o Residential Design Lead (Licensed Architect) – Specializes in residential
projects.
o Commercial Design Lead (Licensed Architect) – Oversees commercial and
mixed-use projects.
o Interior Design Lead – Manages interior design and fit-out projects, aligning
with design vision and sustainability goals.
o Junior Architect – Assists with design tasks, prepares drawings, and supports
design leads under supervision of the Senior Architect and Design Director.
o Apprentice – Provides support on design tasks, drafting, and research under
the mentorship of the Junior Architect and Senior Architect.

Construction Department

5. Construction Director / Head of Build Team


Qualifications: Licensed Architect or Licensed Civil Engineer
Role: Manages the construction phase, coordinates with design leads to ensure design
intent is preserved during construction, and oversees quality control and project
timelines.
Reports to: COO.

Subordinates:

o Project Managers (Licensed Professionals) – Oversee specific projects,


managing timelines, budgets, and on-site execution.
o Site Supervisors – Ensure day-to-day site operations, safety, and quality
standards.
o Junior Architect – Assists with construction drawings, provides on-site
support, and aids the Project Manager and Site Supervisors.

Engineering Department

6. Engineering Department
Role: Provides technical expertise in structural, mechanical, and electrical design and
collaborates closely with the design and construction teams.
Reports to: COO.

Positions:

o Lead Structural Engineer (Licensed) – Responsible for structural integrity


across projects.
o Lead Mechanical Engineer (Licensed) – Oversees mechanical systems and
sustainability practices.
o Lead Electrical Engineer (Licensed) – Ensures electrical designs meet
sustainability and operational efficiency standards.

Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Department

7. Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Department


Role: Works closely with the CSO to monitor environmental standards, perform
energy modeling, and recommend sustainable materials.
Reports to: CSO.

Project Development and Client Relations

8. Project Development Manager


Role: Manages client relationships, project proposals, budgeting, and contract
negotiations.
Reports to: COO.
Positions:

o Client Relations Officer – Manages communications with clients and handles


client feedback.

Finance and Accounting Department

9. Finance Manager
Role: Manages financial planning, budgeting, project cost tracking, and payroll.
Reports to: COO.

Subordinates:

o Accounts Clerk – Assists with billing, invoices, and other financial


paperwork.

Marketing and Communications Department

10. Marketing and Communications Manager


Role: Develops marketing strategies, manages brand promotion, and oversees the
firm's public relations.
Reports to: Principal Architect / CEO.

Positions:

o Graphic Designer – Supports visual content for marketing and project


presentations.

Human Resources (HR) and Administration Department

11. HR Manager
Role: Manages recruitment, employee welfare, and training programs.
Reports to: COO.

Positions:

o Admin Officer – Handles office administration, record-keeping, and facilities


management.
o Administrative Clerk – Assists with documentation, filing, and general office
tasks.
