Self Esteem & Social Skills Course for

Anxious and Awkward

Introduction & Best Practices

Welcome aboard! I'm genuinely thrilled that you've decided to embark

on this journey with me, and I promise to give you as much value as I
possibly can throughout this course. Let’s kick things off by addressing
the “pink elephant in the room.”

Where Am I?
This place you see isn’t a green screen! Some people might assume it
is, but as you can see from the rocks and scenery around me, it's very
real. I’m on the stunning island of La Palma, my favorite spot in the
world. I frequently come here to film because I want you to enjoy the
learning experience beyond just the content.

Instead of filming in a typical studio, I want to take you on a visual

adventure as you build your confidence, overcome anxiety, and improve
yourself. Imagine volcanoes, rainforests, and waterfalls in the
background—this beautiful scenery will make your learning process
even more enjoyable. It’s essential because the biggest hurdle people
face when taking online courses is not finishing them. Life gets in the
way, and it’s easy to lose focus. So, to ensure you succeed, I’m
encouraging you to set up daily reminders and make this course a
priority.

Best Practices for This Course

Adjust the speed: You can speed up or slow down the videos
based on your needs. If you're a non-native speaker, slowing it
down may help. But if you're like me and want to absorb content
quickly, feel free to speed it up.
Don't watch passively: When I suggest exercises or thought
experiments, make sure you actually do them! It’s tempting to just
sit back and watch, but taking action is what will get you results.
Tailor the course to your life: The strategies I share may need to
be adapted to your specific circumstances. Reflect on how each
concept applies to your unique situation.

Stay Engaged for the Full Journey

At some point soon, Udemy will ask for a rating. This might feel early,
but they do it to gather feedback quickly. If you're not ready, just click
“Rate this course later,” but if you're loving it already and feel like giving
a 5-star rating, I certainly won’t stop you!

Continuous Improvement
I constantly work on making my courses better, and I love to hear
feedback. If you have suggestions for additional content, let me know. I
often come back to add more material, and some of my courses have
grown significantly thanks to valuable feedback from students like you.
Extra Resources
I’ll be adding PDF lecture summaries in a couple of weeks so that you
can print out key concepts and bullet points to reference easily. I’ll
notify you when they’re ready, and every time I add more videos, I’ll
send you a quick reminder.

I’m just as excited as you are about

this course, and I can’t wait to dive
deep into it together. Let’s get
started!
