The Garden at the Rez is open to Toronto residents only, with priority given to those in the neighborhood of Woodbine/Danforth

who do not currently have access to garden space. The garden is administered by a four member Coordinating Committee (Garden at the Rez Committee). Additional positions will be developed as the need arises. Each plot is approximately 3 x 12 (1 x 4 m). An annual membership fee of $20 grants membership to Friends of Garden at the Rez. The membership fee pays for metered water, maintenance of fences and the water system, tools, association membership(s) and other related expenses. Membership fees are due May 1st of each year or upon acceptance into the garden (for new memberships). Membership Rules and Regulations must be signed each year by members to renew/obtain their plot. Members must submit to a Conflict Resolution Process as outlined in our application package. One garden meeting is held each year at The Rez (1100 Woodbine Avenue) for all Friends of the Garden at the Rez to discuss general business and garden concerns. Two general garden clean-up parties (Spring and Autumn) are held each season to maintain the common areas of the garden, in addition to several community clean-up events, fundraisers, and potlucks. Dates for these will be available on our website and sent out through our enews. Members are expected to participate to the best of their ability in the common events and work days. We also ask garden members to consider additional volunteer roles as necessary.
