Waking up too early in order to arrive at the shooting area, before the director and other talents made their way, and then experienced an all-day-long waiting for just a short insignificant scene where she played a not-so-good role, usually, I can say that she was that determined, without considering her age. Even though she had the idea of what her role was and already experienced a couples of disappointments and of discrimination, again and again, she was still willing to accept the offer. She never earned a large amount of money with that job but still she continued accepting those roles. Yet, money doesnt matter for her as what I have observed. What or who she was cared all about were the people around her. Her life situation was a bit sad, lack of complete family. In the video, there was no scene of her bonding with her family. Every seconds of her life seemed to be in a waiting area. She was always waiting. Waiting for telephone calls, waiting for her scene in a taping, waiting for the result of AFTAP, waiting for her chance to speak and express herself upstage in front of many people, and the most desired thing, for people to appreciate her, especially by her own daughter. Just imagine what kind of emotions you can feel with this kind of living and yet, she managed to survive and continue living. For that, I salute her not only as an actress but also as a human who was braved enough to face life. Though she was not popular by name, many can recognized her and knew her by her appearance. She has that unique personality that can leave an image in everyones mind. She was really an effective horror cast which strengthens by her attention-seeking, long, white hair. Because of her personality, she gained the interests of some directors in movie industry. Taking into consideration, those people who we thought nothing were more dedicated than those who played the lead role. People were

giving so much appreciation to those who played as main character and not recognizing those who added entertainment and complete the recipe of the movie. It showed the reality among actresses and actors that even though they were working for a long period of time, they cannot be seen any sign of appreciation with the person they worked with. They dont have any prestige for Lilia Cuntapay. For example, the interview with Kris Aquino where she answered that she did not knew Lilia Cuntapay with a fact that they already worked together in one movie show. Oh, I know her with the name yaya, said Kris. I felt so much irritated with her answer. I am expecting that she knew her, but it was just what I thought and it was far from reality. But I really like how it ended up. She had given the privilege to be recognized. And maybe because of overwhelming joy that she felt, she cannot express herself anymore. This coverage of her half-truth life must be the start of recognizing characters like them. Never get tired of waiting, who knows; maybe it is already your turn.
