Warehouse Clerk Non Exempt Warehouse Supervisor Warehouse

Perform routine warehouse work such as stocking, taking inventory, preparing shipments, and delivering supplies and packages. Warehouse worker will maintain a clutter free environment, clean the warehouse daily, ensure safety hazards are cleaned up and/or reported as soon as possible, and provide great customer service. Perform other duties as necessary. This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. Qualifications:

Education/Certification Requires a High School diploma or GED but will consider a current High School Student (16 years of age or older). Experience 0-1 years of experience as a warehouse worker preferred but not required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly. Must be able to unload and load boxes of various weights. Must be able stock, climb, walk, bend, and carry items regularly. Must be able to read and create shipping labels. Must be able to read, write, and calculate. Must be able to use a computer. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer services.

Preferred KSAs

1+ years of experience as a warehouse worker for school or publishing company.

Responsibilities and Duties: Shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in materials. Processing customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Moving materials and items from receiving or shipping areas. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, according to predetermined places. Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for staff. Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

Weighing and counting items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards. Distributing ordered supplies to other departments. Preparing parcels for mailing. Sweeping, dusting, and mopping. Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Manage inventory so items do not go on backorder Print inventory for needed courses. Anticipate peak times for ordering and prepare accordingly. When preparing PRs pay close attention to vendor, page counts, and pricing. Fix order mistakes thoroughly and promptly. Keep Printer Proofs current. Keep supplies on hand this includes tape, paper, staples, boxes, printer supplies, UPS labels, etc. Keeps the printer in working order and reporting problems promptly by making service calls. Unpack and stock orders promptly. Prepare paperwork for Accounts Payable promptly. Perform special projects, during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

Equipment Used: All equipment required to perform jobs duties and task previously described. This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
