1) This handbook could not have been written without Dr.

Peggy Curet, who encouraged and challenged me through my academic program. She never accepted less than my best efforts. Thank you. What is collected in this handbook are materials that I found in articles or in books. I make no claim to be comprehensive. A special thanks to the authors mentioned in the bibliography page. Without you, this guidebook would have taken years off my life (which I don t have many to spare). I would like to acknowledge and extend my heartfelt gratitude to the following judges and lawyers who shared their personal experience with me: Judge Laura Salinas, Judge Cathy Torres-Stahl, Mr. Jesse Gamez, Mrs. Damisela Chavira-Brown, Ms. Rosie Gonzalez, Mr. Hector Gonzalez and Ms. Tina Torres. Most especially to my family, friends and my boyfriend, Michael words alone cannot express what I owe them for their encouragement and whose patient love enabled me to complete this handbook. A special thanks to Paula for feeding me and taking me to Starbucks for coffee. And to my roommate for going the extra mile with the kind of feedback that put flesh on the bones. And especially to God, who made all things possible.

2) Of the many people who have been enormously helpful in the preparation of this thesis, I am especially thankful to Mr Rajendra Kumar for his help and support in guiding me through to its successful completion. I would also like to express my gratitude to the students of the London campus of Hult International Business School (MBAs 2009) for their time and valuable feedback during the primary investigation of this project.

I would also like to warmly acknowledge Kristine Dowd (Head of Student Recruitment, Hult) for her guidance andinput throughout the process of this research, as well as Jennifer Henneman, Karen

Miles and Mariah Rahman (Student Recruitment Directors, Hult) who went out of their way and invested time in providing me with necessary additional details about their experiences with students. This has helped me achieve several additional insightsinto this topic and has provided me with new perspectives on global student mobility.

A very special recognition needs to be given to Nina Gillani (LSC Librarian) for her extensive help and support during research and in dealing with online resources. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to UWIC for the use of their resources, such as online databases and library, without which the compilation of this thesis would have been extremely complicated.

In addition, a special thanks to my housemates and all my friends for their consideration and motivation.

I dedicate this dissertation to my fianc and my family for their unconditional love and support in every way possible throughout the process of this course, this dissertation and beyond.
