Assist The last pass that leads to a field goal ( The passer is given one assist for one field goal made) Block A way to surely stop a ball from going in the basket by touching a part of a ball. Crossover Shifting the ball from left to right. Double Team Tactic used to pressure the ball handler where 2 defenders corner 1 offensive player. Euro Step A hop step to the right or left used to confuse the defender and get an easy layup. Foul A violation of rules committed during the game by a player. Goaltending When the ball is about to go in or when it is already in the box which is located on the backboard, it can no longer be touched, if violated, thus, goaltending.
