Lexicomp USER GUIDE
REGISTRATION & LOGIN
You can use https://katalog.istinye.edu.tr/vetisbt/ link for off-campus access. You can
access Lexicomp databases by logging into the portal and clicking on the " Subscriber
Database" tab in the menu.
MOBILE ACCESS - (For Students)
To use Lexicomp database by downloading applications on iPhone ™, iPod® touch, iPad ™ and Android
devices, just follow the steps below:
1. Visit this webpage: http://www.lexi.com/account/.
2. You can start creating your account by clicking "Create Account".
3. Fill in the fields in the "Account Details" section on the page appeared.
4. In the "Create Your Login" section, you must type your institutional e-mail address ending
with "@istinye.edu.tr" or "@isu.edu.tr" given by the institution, in the "E-mail
address" section. E-mail addresses other than these addresses will not be accepted by the
system. (You can ask all your questions about your institutional e-mail address to
Information Technologies Directorate of the institution. Your institutional e-mail address
and password are not provided by the Library.)
5. After typing in your e-mail address, confirm the password you set in the "Confirm
Password" section and click on the "Create Account" option.
6. On the page appeared, after receiving the notification as "You've successfully created an
account.”, log in to your account by clicking on "Log in now" by typing your username (your
institutional e-mail address) and the password you have set.
7. After typing the code "7QVB7MDJK9MK" in the "Add a Subscription by Code" section, click
on the "Add Subscription" option to confirm the subscription of the institution.
8. After completing your subscription confirmation, enter the mobile activation code sent by
Lexicomp to your institutional e-mail address in the "Verify PIN" section on the page
appeared.
9. Click "Finish" after your identification process is completed.
10. Download the "Lexicomp" application from AppStore or Google Play Store. When logging into
Lexicomp, enter the mobile application by typing your username (your institutional e-mail
address) and the password you set.
11. After logging into the application, it will be adequate to select the field you want to use in
Lexicomp and click on "Update" on the screen appeared. While the installation process is in
progress, the application and screen of your device should not be turned off. When the screen
is turned off, the downloading is cancelled.
12. You can use the application on iPhone ™, iPod® touch, iPad ™ and Android devices.
