ABOUT THE INSTITUTION: As-Salam college of Engineering and Technology, approved by AICTE and affiliated Anna University, has first spark in the year 2009headed by As-Salam Charitable and educational Trust .The College located in Thirumangalakudi, just 2km from Aduthurai and 13km from Kumbakonam, in Thanjavur District. The college is surrounded by lush and green environment, the place is well known for Tamilnadu Rice Research institute which is located at Aduthurai.There are also many pilgrim centers nearby such as Nagore, velankanni, thirunallaru, sooriyanar kovil,etc. which are rich in cultural and heritage values and are visited by lakhs of people from all Religions. The students of our college are striving for excellence in their knowledge skills, by working hard towards success in their profession and development of our Nation, we hope and pray that As-Salam College of Engineering and technology may produce the best results in the field of professional Education. COURSES OFFERED: BE-Civil Engineering BE-Computer Science & Engineering BE-Mechanical Engineering BE-Electronics & Communication Engineering BE-Electrical & Electronics Engineering ELIGIBILITY: The Tournament is open to Thanjavur,Tiruvarur,Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Pudukkottai-District Level Polytechnic colleges, Affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai.(DOTE) The teams should represented only by bonafide students. TROPHY: Rolling Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner-up teams. The team shall be responsible for the safe custody and must return the Rolling Trophies to The Principal, As-Salam College of Engineering & Technology on request. BEST PLAYER AWARD: Suitable individual awards and merit certificates will be distributed to the players.

ENTRIES: Entries in the prescribed form enclosed should reach The Organizing Secretary, District Level Inter Polytechnic Volley ball Tournament, As-Salam College of Engineering & Technology, Thirumangalakudi-Aduthurai-612 102, Thanjavur-Dt. on or before 24/03/2012. The tournament committee has the right to reject any entry and alter the fixtures without assigning any reasons. BOARDING & LODGING: Teams will be Provide with free boarding &lodging facilities. LIST OF AWARDS AND PRIZES: Winner - Rolling Trophy&Rs.5000/Runner - Rolling Trophy&Rs.3000/IIIPlace -Rolling Trophy&Rs.2000/RULES & RUGULATIONS: 1) Only Particular District Polytechnic college teams are entitled to take part in this Tournament. 2) Players must come with proper uniform during the tournament and have to report at the court promptly, failing to do so will result in disqualification. 3) The committee reserves all the rights to change the time and the venue of the matches. The referees decision will be final. 4) Lack of discipline by any member will lead to the disqualification of the respective institution. 5) Participants should be bonafide students enrolled in full time course in the respective institution. College should produce a bonafide certificate, for all the participants, attested by the head of the institution. The college/ institution teams will be disqualified from the touranament.if they fail to comply with this rule. 6) The participants are asked to bring their college identity cards and one stamp size photo graphs, when they come for the tournament. 7) The teams should report on 26/03/2012 at 8.00am. 9) The teams without Physical Director/Directress /Faculty in-charge, will not be permitted to Participate in the Tournament. 10) Registration must be made advance by post or online. A confirmation postal mail/email will be sent to the respective college on receipt of the filled registration forms.
