The production system

INTRODUCTION
ROCHI ENGINEERS PVT LTD was established in the year 1994. It is located in Gut No. 281/1, Plot No. 22, near Ghotawade Phata, Kasaramboli, Pirangut, , Pune - 412108, Maharashtra, India. This company is also known as a family company as it is managed by all the 7 members of the family. It is an exporter, manufacturer and supplier type of a business. The main products which are manufactured and exported are Silencer, mufflers, oil tanks, auto parts, auto components, auto exhaust, water pipes, spark arrestors. It mainly specialises in silencer manufacturing. At present the company has employed 35 employees. The Managing director of ROCHI ENGINEERS PVT LTD is Madhavikharkar and Administration Manager is Sanjivkharkar. The main scope of this company is designing, manufacturing and supplying of exhaust systems industrial and other units.

The engineering companies are at boom in recent period. This is due to the industrialisation and easy availability of easy technolo;gy. In this report we have described about Rochi engineer]- which are specialises in manufacturing silencers.

These industries are backed by a sound infrastructural base that is divided into well furnished Tool room and manufacturing facility. With sophisticated machines and equipments, these industries are growing at @ 300% per Annum in the terms of Production as well as Turnover. To enhance the productivity, they install lot of new production machines per month. Due to continuous upgradation of the production machines, the delivery time has reduced.

COMPANY PROFILE
ROCHI ENGINEER PVT LTD was established in the year 1994.This company is involved in manufacturing of mufflers, silencer, exhaust tubes for reputed diesel engine manufacturer in India.

Rochi engineers are planning to go in for the most sophisticated, sate of art plant. The plant will house modern CNC machines and can also accept lay outs to suit new customers requirements.

For all the items whose requirement is within hundred units, Rochi engineers have SPMs developed for circle cutting, which helps in reducing cost to a large extent.

Rochi engineers are a ISO 9001-2000 company with a scope to design, manufacture of exhaust system for indistrial and allied application.

The company profile can be made clearer by analysing weakness and opportunity.

WEAKNESS

Facilities for testing of muffler are not set up yet, they have been relying on facilities available with their customer. At present validation of design is being done by the customers on the engine itself.

Opportunity

Rochi engineers are a professionally managed company which can be moulded to suit a new customer. Rochi engineers can ultimately become a global player in manufacturing of muffler, exhaust tubes in future and supply exclusively to new customers. This company can provide mufflers to meet both quality and cost effecciency. The opportunity in the area of design, manufacture and ability to meet material and quality specification can be examined and continuous improvements plans can be implemented.

Rochi engineers are manufacturers and developers of mufflers, silencers and exhaust tube for reputed Diesel engine manufacturer in India. The company is in services of design and development of mufflers/ silencers, exhaust systems, bend pipes for automotive and allied application.

Findings
Findings of the report
It was a great experience to have an industrial visit. We went to Rochi engineers pvt ltd company which is located in Pirangut. We learnt the practical aspects of industry work. From this visit we came to know about various things which are as below:

1. We saw how mufflers, silencers and exhaust tubes are manufactured 2. We learnt how silencers are useful to the automonile industry. It helps in the reduction of noise and pollution. 3.The production process was in the sequential order like

Recommendations
We visited Rochi which is well equipped with modern technology. By observation in a visit, we can make the engineers pvt ltd. Though it was a small industry, it was following recommendations.

1. There was not enough space for moving of material and to carry the work efficiently. So, space can be increased and can be managed properly.

2. The temperature inside the working place was high. So, temperature can be maintained by proper ventilation and by using coolers.

3. There was not canteen facility. So, proper canteen facility can be made.

4. There was not proper urinal and toilet facility. So, neat and hygienic washroom facility should be arranged.
