I am currently studying my final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.

I have developed a particular interest in the area of Project Management which currently forms part of the curriculum in my ninth semester module and I wish to specialise in this area in my post graduate studies. The Project Architect and Senior Architect of Mancini Enterprises-Chennai, under whom I had interned during the seventh semester, assigned me for the implementation of the Project 'A - School' (A chain of concept schools in Chennai), helping me focus on Project Management tasks which were involved in the assignment. Furthermore, I was introduced to basic concepts and methods in Project Management during my tenure as a trainee in this firm. My interest in this field has also been enhanced greatly by the lecturers and other visiting faculty from Industries who appraised us on the role and scope of the Project Manager in the future. I am keen on taking the Project and Enterprise Management (Msc. Full time) programme offered by the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management at University College London, since I feel that it would offer a chance to diversify my interests and give an edge to my career. I represented my University as the Unit Secretary for NASA - "National Association of Students of Architecture" during 2009 -2010. In September 2009 I had the opportunity to lead Hindustan University (formerly known as Hindustan College of Engineering, an affiliate College of Anna University) for the Zonal NASA convention at Sathyabama University, Chennai. Our team emerged victorious clinching the third position in the overall Championship title. This position also endowed me with the privilege of leading a team from my University to the SAARC NASA Convention at SRM University, Chennai, during December 2009. Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority engaged a team of students during the Academic year 2010-2011, to take up identification, assessment and documentation of buildings to be categorised as heritage buildings. I was part of the team which undertook this responsibility. Studying in The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management at University College London would be a dream come true for me and I would be honoured to get into this prestigious school. I would also like to mention that it is not only the course that attracts me to the institution, but also the faculty and the department. I am particularly enamoured with the Georgian style of buildings in London and I would consider it a boon to live and study in the City. The brilliant combination of modules offered by your esteemed institution, are of great interest to me. Should I get accepted onto the course, my preferences would be towards the following modules in the curriculum: 1. 2. 3. 4. Managing the Enterprise - Project relationship Optimising the Supply Chain Organisation and People in Projects Enterprise Management: Relationship between firms
