Dear Riya,
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m writing this letter to inform you that I received the most prestigious award
of my school. I got the ✔ ‘Veer Puraskar’ award which is meant for those who
have displayed some act of valour.

I was given this award as I rescued a boy from drowning in the pond. ✔ It so
happened that when I was on my way to school, I noticed a young boy crying
for help at the nearby pond. ✔ On asking he revealed that one of his friends
had fallen into the pond while they were fishing. ✔ Without losing a moment,
I jumped into the pond. It was difficult to pull up the boy as his leg was
entangled in the weeds. Nevertheless, after a few minutes of struggle he was
free and we surfaced. I took him to the nearby hospital ✔ and was glad when
the doctor said he was out of danger. His parents thanked me profusely and also
informed my parents and my school about the same. On the Annual Day
function of my school, I was given the ‘Veer Puraskar’ award which comprised
of a beautiful trophy and a cash prize of ten thousand rupees. ✔ My parents,
teachers and my friends were very proud of me. You have always been my best
friend and hence I had to share this moment of joy with you too.
Convey my regards to your parents and give my love to your younger brother
too.
Yours lovingly, / Yours affectionately,
Raj (Only first name & no full stop)

Dear Sir,
I’d like to bring to your notice that the time allotted for our break is not
sufficient for us.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a student studying in Class IX and I strongly feel that there must be an
extension of fifteen more minutes in our break-time. Our classrooms are
situated on the fourth floor, by the time we go to the canteen which is on the
ground floor, it is already crowded. ✔ It takes us almost ten minutes to finish
our lunch. We are not left with enough time to visit the library or even play
with our friends. ✔ I feel that it is very important for us to feel refreshed ✔
for the next half of the day. We don’t want to feel lethargic due to lack of
play. ✔If we have some time for playing or even discussing few things with
our friends ✔our mind would be refreshed. A refreshed mind would grasp
better. ✔

I hope you would look into the matter and come up with a favourable solution.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully, / Yours truly,

Raj Sharma (First name + Surname & no full stop)
