PROBLEMS OF COMMUNICATION Communicating is more than just what we say. It is how we say things and what we understand from what is said to us. Communication comes in different forms, such as verbal (spoken), written word, lip reading, sign language and even body language.Sometimes it can be difficult to know how to communicate with the people around us, especially if you need to discuss something unpleasant or you are unsure whether the person will understand what you say. DIFFICULTY COMMUNICATING Sometimes you may find it difficult to communicate because you are uncomfortable discussing a subject, for example if you have bottled-up emotions and are stressed. You may not feel like communicating because you're physically unwell yourself. However, its important to have someone you can share your troubles with. There are support organisations you can talk to if you dont feel comfortable talking to family or friends. You might also find your local carers centre helpful - you can find contact details on the directory of carers' local services. CAUSES OF COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS Communication issues might arise from a physical condition such as hearing difficulties or visual impairment, or as a result of a condition affecting the brain, such as Alzheimers disease or a stroke. These communication problems may come on gradually, or could happen overnight, leaving you unprepared and unsure how best to communicate with the person. You should also bear in mind that someone who has a physical or mental illness or disability may be affected by your own and other peoples reactions to their condition. This could have an impact on their ability to communicate. If a persons hearing or sight is impaired, body language and tone of voice will become more important. They may also need to learn new skills such as sign language or lip reading in order to be able to communicate. If a condition or impairment develops suddenly, youll need to re-evaluate your methods of communication with that person. It might feel strange at first, but you might need to consider your tone of voice, how quickly you speak and how you use body language and gestures to emphasise what you are saying. Its a good idea to express this to the person you care for and find out what helps them or makes your communication clearer. IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION Communication is conveying the idea or message. It was originated from a Latin word called communicare which means to make common. Therefore, the main objective of communication process is to find a common consensus. Literally, it means to impart or interchange opinions, thoughts or information through speech or writing. Even signs are important component of communication. But, the main components are written communication and spoken verbal communication which is also referred to as oral communication.

Communication is defined as a process by which we assign and convey meaning in an attempt to create shared understanding. This process requires a vast repertoire of skills in intrapersonal and interpersonal processing, listening, observing, speaking, questioning, analyzing, and evaluating. Use of these processes is developmental and transfers to all areas of life: home, school, community, work, and beyond. It is through communication that collaboration and cooperation occur. Communication is the mode of transfer of information from one person to another. So first importance of communication you can see is that with help of communication you are able to ask a question and i am able to express my views regarding your question. In all of the organisations, companies, institutes throughout the world depends on communication whether the informations are transferred from management to employees or vice-versa. HUMAN COMMUNICATION

Human spoken and picture languages can be described as a system of symbols (sometimes known as lexemes) and the grammars (rules) by which the symbols are manipulated. The word "language" also refers to common properties of languages. Language learning normally occurs most intensively during human childhood.
ORAL COMMUNICATION

Oral communication, while primarily referring to spoken verbal communication, can also employ visual aids and non-verbal elements to support the conveyance of meaning. Oral communication includes speeches, presentations, discussions, and aspects of interpersonal communication. As a type of face-to-face communication, body language and voice tonality play a significant role, and may have a greater impact upon the listener than informational content.

y What would we have without communication?

Any communication; this means body language, speaking, hand gestures, sign language, anything. All of those are forms of communication. How would the world work if we couldn't communicate? When Christopher Columbus came over to North America he didn't know the language but atleast he could try to let them know that he meant them no harm. Miscommunication; or in this case lack of communication would result in a human hell in my opinion. We'd no longer be able to work, to get money, to live, to love, to laugh. We'd be separated from eachother completely, no matter how close we are to eachother. Communication is all that bonds us!
