General Comment: Good effort Jack, I know you haven t found this project easy. Here are some suggestions on how you can improve your work: Cover: y y y y y y y Change your font for the title so it looks less desk-top. Cut your black shadow and use the image of your band as the main image. You may need to have a go again at cutting around it so it looks neater. Resize you barcode strip for a magazine, shrink your price and add date. Give your band the yellow title under the image, without the speech marks. Add in a few more coverlines in the appropriate place. Rethink your colour palette so it brings all your elements together. Experiment with your typography. I can only see one font on your front page experiment more with the fonts used rather than the amount of colours you are using. Most magazine front covers have 3 to 4 different fonts just remember it needs to fit your genre s style. Think about the costumes your models are wearing.

Contents: y This is the only place you have alluded to the Keyboard magazine idea so you can probably drop it as it is confusing for your other 2 elements. Change your content ideas by looking at some current music topics/ stories/ artists. Too much white space. Which format were you trying to emulate? Retake your photos so greater variety. Be more accurate when cutting your images out for this page or you could use the original background of the photo and just ensure the mise en scene is appropriate. More pages needed- only 18 so far. Stick to a colour pallet throughout. Use 3 to 4 colours that complement each other.

DPS: y y y y I like this idea. Organise your text into 4 columns and get rid of the capitals font as it looks odd. Resize the photos in the green box a little. Once again the edges on your cutting out is a little untidy, maybe consider using the background from the original image as long as the mise en scene is appropriate. If you wish to still cut your model out use the magnetic lasso to cut the image clicking more often to guide the line and then either use the rubber to tidy or try feathering your image. I like the text you have used for your title it works nicely. Format your text so qs are in a different colour and write more so that it is not oversized with white space.
