Task/concern/problem/dilemma Whether or not to open their own personal training facility in London, ON Deadline Sept 1, 2005 (1month) they need to decide whether or not they will proceed with the venture. Critical Issues 1. Limited Financing 2. Target market o Menard and Craciun are trying to target too many different markets. They need to focus on one or two markets of people that will help them achieve their goals. 3. Advertising/Marketing o Menard and Craciun do not really specify a budget for advertising, other than saying they want something low cost or no cost at all. They need to be able to advertise to a specific market and they need it to be unique, not like any other gym. 4. Pricing 5. Differentiation from competition?? o Menard and Craciun need to position themselves differently than any other gym. They need to be able to show that Elite is a premium training facility and its not just another gym like all the rest. They want a unique experience for their clients and they need to market that.
