1. ISP (Internet Service Provider) - is a company that provides access to the Internet. 2. DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) - is a family of technologies that
provides digital data transmission over the wires of a local telephone network.

3. LAN (Local Area Network) - is a computer network that connects


computers and devices in a limited geographical area such as home, school, computer laboratory or office building.

4. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) - is a networking protocol for


distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems. HTTP is the foundation of data communication for the World Wide Web.

5. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) - is the predominant language


for web pages. HTML elements are the basic building-blocks of web pages.

6. OS (Operating System)- is software, consisting of programs and data, that


runs on computers, manages computer hardware resources, and provides common services for execution of various application.

7. WWW (World Wide Web) - is system of interlinked hypertext documents


accessed via the Internet. With a web browser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia and navigate between them via hyperlinks.

8. CPU (Central Processing Unit) - is the portion of a computer system that


carries out the instructions of a computer program, and is the primary element carrying out the functions of the computer or other processing device.

9. RAM (Random Access Memory) - is a form of computer data storage. 10.ROM (Read Only Memory) - is a class of storage medium used
in computers and other electronic devices.
