My Personal Reflection

It has been one of the most exciting moments of being an education student to witness such a productive output in delivering services towards the community in nurturing young individual that soon would shape the future of our country. My classmate was then assigned to report the relationship of school and community, which is very much significant towards the fundamental development of learning in school especially the elementary level. On that particular day, a follow-up field trip has been mentioned by our instructor to visit Tabayla Elementay School the National Brigada Eskwela Awardee. After knowing this remarkable award and proud of being a Tabangohanon, there are several questions that keep on feeding inquiries on me as if it also puzzled my mind. I wonder how a remotely distant place acquires such an excellent award that has been recognized nationwide. And as far as postponement and rescheduling of visit hamper its realization due to approval of further request, it merely boosts my excitement and interest. By Tuesday morning of January 31, 2012, at exactly 9:00 AM, the long been waited trip was then set forward. As we walk on the pathway heading towards the school several meters away, I was already closely captivated by the beauty of nature. Upon entering the premises, I was fascinated by the amenities the school has build and other facilities yet to be developed through community linkage. The school was offering a place that was really conducive for learning. Perhaps its closeness to the ecological balance of nature also tenders the entire place to be a child friendly school. Inside the campus you can really feel the warm welcome that has a deeper meaning to the heart of there pupils. Classrooms are well arranged and painted with colorful views that are so refreshing. Pupils are respectful, neat, competitive and responsible even if there teacher is not around to facilitate them. Instructional materials are keeping intact and always ready for utilization that is necessary to the learning process. Missions, visions and goals of the school were posted legibly on a specific area where visitors can clearly see. Immeasurably, it could not be denied how much discipline has been put forward for the fulfillment of this progressive little institution. Then I met a grade five pupil who has a physical disability. I never expect that I could meet a young pupil like him. Never losing hope for the quest of success, still he has managed to pursue studying despite of his deformities. Apparently, with all these barriers to become a normal pupil among every other individual he was positioned at the highest ranked in their class. As we test his innocence and intelligence through writing using feet, my heart starts to beat faster that it draws to intensify my emotion feeling his hunger of being appreciated not in the way other people look at his achievement but by the acceptance that some people did not recognized and understood. His figure symbolized the true endeavor of life towards success despite hindrances, his deformities and even intermittent discrimination. As we ended the tour with full of satisfaction I have concluded that the school was really an excellent model in which others should follow. And it provides me a sincere motivation to become a better educator someday.
