The police have announced certain traffic changes in and around Anna Nagar which will come into

force on Thursday. This is to facilitate work on the underground Metro Rail stations at three locations between Thirumangalam and Chintamani on 2{+n}{+d}Avenue, Anna Nagar. y y y According to a press release, the 13th Main Road in Anna Nagar will be one way for the entire stretch, from 18th Main Road to 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue. Entry will be from 18th Main Road. The 100 feet road will be made one way from 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue up to 18th Main Road junction with entry from 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue side. Motorists coming from Padi flyover towards Koyambedu should take left in to 18th Main Road, go on 13th Main Road and turn right on to 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue and take left towards 100 feet Road. The route from Koyambedu to Padi remains unaltered. Vehicles bound for Anna Nagar from Koyambedu should pass through Thirumangalam junction, take right at 6 {+t} {+h} Avenue and another right in to 13th Main road turn left at 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue. Motorists can also turn right in to Shanthi Colony 6 {+t} {+h} Avenue to reach Anna Nagar Roundtana.

SBOA School y y Those heading to SBOA School from 18th Main Road should take 13th Main Road and 17th Main Road to reach 100 feet Road. Those coming from the school and intending to go to Anna Nagar should take left in to 100 feet Road via 18th Main Road, 13th Main Road to reach 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue turn right towards Koyambedu or left towards Anna Nagar round about. Motorists from Mogappair bound for Koyambedu and Anna Nagar should take left on 100 feet Road and go via 6 {+t} {+h} Avenue and 13th Main Road to reach 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue turn right towards Koyambedu or left towards Anna Nagar round about. The stretch between Chintamani and Anna Nagar roundabout will be one way with entry from Chintamani and no entry from 3rd Avenue. The stretch from Anna Nagar roundabout to Thirumangalam will be one way with entry from Thirumangalam and no entry from 3 {+r} {+d} Avenue. Motorists coming from Chintamani along 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue intending to go to Thirumangalam, will turn left onto 3 {+r} {+d} Avenue and take right in to Shanthi colony. Vehicles from Anna arch intending to go to K-4 police station roundtana will take the route via Shanthi Colony, 5 {+t} {+h} Avenue (Blue Star), and right into 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue. The stretch between Shanthi Colony and Blue star (5 {+t} {+h} Avenue) will be made one way with entry from Shanthi Colony and no entry from 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue. The 3 {+r} {+d} Main Road linking Shanthi Colony and 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue will be one way towards 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue. The 6 {+t} {+h} Main Road between Ayappan temple and Shanthi Colony will be one way towards Shanthi Colony. The Shanthi Colony stretch between 3 {+r} {+d} Avenue up to 5 {+t} {+h} Avenue junction will be one way with entry from 3 {+r} {+d} Avenue. Two-way traffic will be allowed on the Shanthi Colony stretch between 5 {+t} {+h} Avenue up to 100 feet road.

Shifting of bus stops y The three MTC bus stops located at Anna Nagar roundtana, Blue Star and 12th Main road on 2 {+n} {+d} Avenue towards Thirumangalam, will be shifted to the parallel road, 4 {+t} {+h} Avenue (Shanthi Colony) in front of 3rd Main Road, 5 {+t} {+h} Avenue and 12th Main Road respectively. http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-national/tp-tamilnadu/article2713242.ece
