TRAINING FOR FIRST YEAR MBA STUDENTS

Submitted To: Prof. Jatin Christie Submitted By: Karishma Vijay (B 42)

Training Needs:
The first year MBA students need training on following aspects in the Orientation Programme: 1. Ice Breaking: Ice breaking is an essential part of MBA. The students will be working in groups in future & not all groups are formed according to our choices and so the students need to know each other. 2. Team Building: Teams/Groups are other important part of the MBA program. The students will be having group projects, submissions, presentations etc. They need to know how to perform in groups where there are different types of people involved. 3. Presentation: Each & every MBA student has to face presentations in the two years of MBA. And not every student is comfortable with the idea of making a presentation and therefore its necessary to train them in developing skills for delivering good presentations. 4. Lectures: It is not easy for any student to sit for 90 minutes session. They need to be trained in sitting for the same by taking a few 90 minutes sessions during the orientation. 5. A brief about the courses that they will study in the coming 2 years i.e. Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Information Technology and General Management. The entire training program will be a combination of spaced & massed learning because the students need to be trained for the fact that in MBA there are days when you will have no or very few lectures and quite relaxed day while certain days are very hectic and tiring.
