Taught curriculum is the curriculum that teachers deliver to students, including the lessons, activities,
and teaching methods used. It's also known as operational curriculum.
What's included in taught curriculum?
Lessons: The daily lessons and activities that take place in the classroom
Teaching methods: The techniques used to teach, such as lectures, discussions, presentations,
and demonstrations
Materials: The textbooks, worksheets, and electronic media used in the classroom
Instructional philosophy: The teacher's own philosophy of instruction, which can include their
beliefs and attitudes about the curriculum
How is taught curriculum implemented?
Teachers consider students' needs and abilities when deciding how to teach the material
Teachers decide how much time to spend on each activity or topic
