By definition, the Taught Curriculum is that part of the curriculum that is
actually delivered by the teacher to the students. Teachers being the chief implementers of curriculum take the major decisions of HOW, WHEN and WHERE the activities/contents are delivered by taking into consideration their students. The teachers get to decide on the tools and teaching styles to achieve the intended learning outcomes. This gives a sense of well-being to the teachers and students. In the taught curriculum, the teacher uses a holistic approach. Indeed, the fact that the teacher is free to include experiments, demonstrations and other types of engagement through group work and hands-on activities ensures that the school is a valorised and transformative space that sets the foundation for creativity, self-expression and sharing.
