Y3-4 Talent Show terms and conditions.

Y3-4 Talent show goals.

The goals of talent show competition among students of Year 3 and 4 are to enhance students’
creativity, encourage young performers to step out of their comfort zone and gain an experience
of performing on stage displaying their talents. Year 3 and 4 talent shows are to take place in two
separate days for giving every chosen candidate a comfortable atmosphere and enough time to
perform. Candidates will be judged individually or as a part of a group in three separate
categories: Drama, Dance, Music (on stage).
The rules of participation are:
1) Each class can present only one performance in each category. The total amount of
performances cannot exceed 18 per event.
2) The process of audition is to take place during the music/drama lesson in each class.
3) Each class is to choose their representatives collectively by voting and discussion with
the assistance of subject teacher. This is to make students understand that the goal here is
not only an individual achievement, but also a representation of their class, and the
victory is a common goal and responsibility of all class members.
4) One student can participate in only one performance. This is to give more students a
chance to try their luck in artistic genre.
5) Performances are to be prepared (or in cases of drama and dance – created) entirely by
students with small assistance of a teacher, such as editing lines or helping improving the
overall performance. This is to encourage the students’ creativity and independence.
6) The estimated length of each performance is not to exceed 5 minutes for drama, 3-4
minutes for dance and music.
7) Candidates’ names and their creative programs are to be submitted to subject teachers
before March 8th, auditions will take place during Week 10. Submissions received after
March 8th will not be considered as there will not be enough time to prepare the
performances.
8) Final list of performers who were chosen for participation during the auditions is to be
ready by March 18th. The final list is non-negotiable as it is a result of a collective
decision of all class members.
9) In case any of the performers drop out of the contest for any reason, the class should
present a runner-up as a replacement.

During the main event:

On the day of main event, the performers are expected to be present and prepared. The order of
performances will be prepared beforehand and available for every class. Main event will work in
accordance with prepared order of performances. Students are expected to be seated with their
class, including performers and be quiet and respectful to other participants, any disruption or
loud voice is not acceptable, however cheering is allowed.

Evaluation and jury duty:

Each performance will be carefully viewed and evaluated by the honorable judges (Names of
judges) by 3 categories: Creativity, Talent, Composition. The max score in each category is 10,
the minimal score is 0. In case a tie occurs, the chairman of juries is to make a decision.
Results and prizes:
Sfs Talent Show Y3-4 is providing certificates of participation to every participant in the event.
There are 3 main prizes in each category for the participants that scored the most points during
the evaluation. However, people’s choice prizes are available, one in each category, along with
the complimentary prize for best behaving class. The jury’s decision is final and non-negotiable.
