Installation of MTG On Front Mower
1. Remove the styling panel (A) with the help of two
screws (D) and two knobs (C).
2. Remove the screen (B) from air intake (E).

3. For 1570, 1575, 1580, and 1585. Disconnect the
connectors from VCU.

4. Remove wing nuts (A) on front and back of battery
cover (B) and remove cover.
5. Disconnect — negative battery cable.
6. Loosen clamp and disconnect air cleaner hose from
side cover.

7. Remove bolt (C) from front of side panel.

9. Drill two holes (G) and (H) of 9 mm in panel (I) at a
distance of 120 mm and 170 mm from the center of
the grommet (F).

10. Install an MTG bracket (J) with the help of two bolts
(M) and two holding clips (K) and two lock nuts (L).

11. Install bolt and washer (A) and nut (B) to rear side
cover mount.

12. Install bolt and washer (C) into front side cover mount.

14. Install battery cover (D) and secure on each end with
wing nut (E).

15. Attach MTG Module (N) to bracket using MTG
adhesive.

16. Connect MTG connector (O) to MTG Module .
17. Wind excess harness (Q) inside of panel with the help
of tie and route connector (R) to the other side of the
grommet (P).
NOTE: Operator's seat needs to lift up.

18. Route MTG harness along with main vehicle harness
utilizing zip ties.
NOTE: Lift the seat pan along with seat to gain
the access for connection.
19. Uncap and connect the MTG connector (S) to the
connectivity breakout connector (T) of vehicle harness.

20. For 1570, 1575, 1580, and 1585. Reconnect the
connectors to the VCU.
21. After connection the MTG harness, start up the vehicle
and check for correct LEDs that are flashing on the
MTG module.

22. Reinstall the Screen (B) to air intake (E).
23. Reinstall the styling panel (A) with the help of two
screws (D) and two knobs (C).

Installation of MTG On Wide Area Mower
1. Remove the console panel (A) by removing the latch
(B).

2. Remove the connectors from the control module (C).
3. Remove the three cap screws (D) and three lock nuts
(E).
4. Take out the bracket (F) along with the control module
out of the console.
5. Remove the control module (C) from the bracket by
removing the four screws (G).

6. Install the control module (C) on a new MTG bracket
(F) by using four screws (G).
7. Reconnect the connectors to the control module (C).

8. Install a new MTG bracket (F) on the machine console
by using three screws (H) and lock nuts (I).
NOTE: For Installation of MTG use either step 9 or step 10.

9. Install MTG module (J) on MTG Bracket (F) with the
help of two rubber washers (L) and two screws (K).

10. Install MTG module (J) on MTG Bracket (F) with the
help of two adhesive strips (R).

11. Connect the harness connector (P) to the MTG module
(J), roll the excess harness (N) above the MTG using
two tie bands (M), then connect the MTG module to
the main harness breakout using a connector (O).

light (Q) on the MTG module is flashing.
