MANUFACTURING CO.
Zip-Tech was the creation of a brain storming initiative by DuFresne Manufacturings design team. One of those designers, Steve Rosenthal, envisioned a way to join metal together with no welding.
Steves goal was to find an alternative way to join pre-plate material since the welding of these materials can prove to be hazardous. He succeeded with his new zipper construction. With this innovative technology, various types of sheet metal can be joined without the intensive labor of welding and grinding. Furthermore, parts that were designed out of more expensive materials, may benefit by switching to a more economical pre-plate material, saving additional costs of paint or other types of finish.
