III. INTRODUCTION
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers – Polytechnic University of the Philippines
Student Chapter (IMechE – PUPSC), the first-ever IMechE Student Chapter in the Philippines serves
as an academic organization dedicated to providing an inclusive and thriving community for Mechanical
Engineering students. Its vision is to promote the organization's core values of Inclusion, Integrity,
Impact, and Innovation within the university. IMechE – PUPSC is dedicated to nurturing globally
competitive Mechanical Engineering students who will emerge as leaders and champions of change,
actively striving to enhance the world through innovation and engineering.
IV. RATIONALE
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Mechanical Engineering Department has
consistently produced outstanding students who are academically excellent and highly skilled in
practical applications. These students have consistently demonstrated their ability to apply theoretical
knowledge to solve real-world engineering problems, reflecting the quality of education provided by the
department.
The department’s commitment to nurturing a learning environment that encourages innovation,
critical thinking, and hands-on experience has resulted in a track record of being one of the
best-performing schools in the country and producing graduates who are top-notch performers
in past licensure examinations. With this, the IMechE - PUPSC is organizing an event entitled “1st
Mechanical Engineering Pinning and Hard Hat Ceremony 2025”. This event is a significant
milestone for Mechanical Engineering students’ journey, marking their transition from classroom
learning to hands-on application, while also preparing them for the responsibilities and opportunities that
come with being a mechanical engineer.
V. OBJECTIVES
