Your Excellency,
Since its inception, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has been keenly focused on
supporting human capital development, in addition to its mainstream development financing
activities, to ensure socioeconomic progress in its member countries.
In its Realigned Strategy (2023–2025), IsDB reiterated this commitment by dedicating an entire
pillar to support comprehensive and inclusive human capital development. Through this pillar,
IsDB will undertake capacity development initiatives, including scholarship programs, to
address member countries’ pressing development challenges.
In this regard, I am pleased to inform you that applications are open for the following IsDB
scholarship programs for the academic year 2024-2025 (announcement poster attached): (i)
the IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research in High Technology;
and (ii) the IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Program for Bachelor’s Degree and Technical and Vocational
Education and Training. Candidates from your esteemed country are invited to apply via the
IsDB scholarship online portal (www.isdb.org/scholarships) no later than 20 April 2024.
To attract the largest possible number of distinguished candidates, I kindly request that Your
Excellency’s office publish the attached announcement in leading local journals, newspapers,
and media and share it with relevant educational and research institutions in the country.

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is pleased to invite applications for scholarships for the
academic year 2024-2025 under the following programs:
x IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research in High
