1 Release Notes
Thank you very much for your interest in RLM Software's hp12c Classic and Platinum simulators for Windows XP,2000,98 and NT Operating systems. The hp12c Classic v4.1 and Platinum v3.1 have all the functions and capabilities of the real calculators, plus the following extended features : - 100 memory registers. - 1000 program steps. - New interface engraving tool and preferences menu - Variable view size. - Paper tape output. - Register's content tool - Cash Flow tool. - Statistical analysis tool. - Time value of money tool. - Currency conversion tool. - Program Modules editor. - Sound, CLX or DEL, program insert mode and spoken feedback settings. - Save and load programs - Save and Load memory sets. Installation : 1) The downloaded "hp12c-Classic-v4.1.zip" or "hp12c-Platinum-v3.1.zip" files are compressed in the common ".zip" format. Double click on it to open the expander utility window showing the "hp12c" folder. Drag, copy or save this folder to your preferred location in your hard drive and close the expander utility window. 2) Open hp12c folder in your hard drive and double click on the hp12c application to launch it. 3) If you have your registration number, click on the "input serial" button and type the registration information exactly as shown in the registration e-mail sent to you by RLM Software, and press "Enter Registration". After the welcome message you have the full version of the hp12c running properly. 4) Check the "Prefereces..." menu to set your options. If you want to engrave the interface, click in the "Interface Engraving" button to show the engraving panel. Type what ever you want in line 1, line 2 or both. To set the position, font type, size, color and style of each line of text, click the check box at the right of it and set the properties as desire. To end the engraving process push the "Save Engraving" button. This will create the "Engrave-hp12c" picture file inside the folder "Data-hp12c" (You can edit this file in any graphic program). 5) Don't forget to check your keyboard equivalences clicking in the "Keyboard Equivalence" button. 6) "Click the "Ok" button of the Preferences window to save and close it.

IMPORTANT TIPS : - Because the simulator has 100 memory registers all memory operations require two digits to finish the sequence. For example, to store the displayed number in the register 8, press "STO 0 8". - Because the 1000 program steps, the "GTO" command needs three digits to completion
