Sequence of teaching/Learning experiences Introduction Today we are doing a drama lesson. When I clap, I want everyone to repeat my clap and then freeze, waiting for my next instruction. Move tables and chairs to the back of the room. Warm-up Story time Explain and demonstrate. Go around in a circle, saying one sentence each to tell/build on a story. E.g. When I was a kid. I like to play sport. Activity Read Rapunzel As a class read the basic script of Rapunzel. Asking a few strong readers, to each be a different character. Ask another person from the class to move between notebook slides, so the class can follow along too. Freeze frames Describe to class what a freeze frame is. Ask students first if they know what one is. In groups of 3, students can select a key moment in the story Time Resources / organisation Rapunzel script x 7 copies, on notebook for the rest of the class to follow along with.

The other class members can put up their hand and guess, which bit of the story it, is from. Other class members pointing out ways in which they would make it better and what they liked.
