Q. I am not from Uttarakhand; can I still participate in Uttarakhand State counseling?
A. Yes, anyone from any State of India can participate in Uttarakhand Counseling under
the All-India Management Quota (AIMQ).
Q. To get admission to Seema Dental College & Hospital-Rishikesh do I have to
attend All India Counseling or Uttarakhand Counseling?
A. Only Uttarakhand counseling.
Q. Is the counseling conducted offline or online?
A. It’s Online. No need to come till you are allotted a seat in counseling.
Q. I have not participated in any counseling so far, will you help us during
counseling?
A. Yes, in every step. Do not hesitate to ask any query small or big on our WhatsApp

Q. Can I participate in more than one State counseling simultaneously?
A. Yes, you can participate in more than one State counseling simultaneously but there is
a catch in it. Each State counseling board charges a Security deposit for counseling
which will get forfeited in case the candidate is allotted a seat in that State counseling
and the candidate, due to any reason, doesn’t take it. This is to discourage blocking a
seat that otherwise could have been allotted to another deserving candidate. Many
times, counseling dates too overlap between States counseling so keep this point in
mind before applying to more than one State counseling simultaneously.
Q. Is there any fee difference between State Quota (SQ) Seat and the All-India
Management Quota (AIMQ) Seat in Seema Dental College & Hospital?
A. Only Rs 5000/- @ year that too in Hostel & Mess fee only otherwise no difference.
Q. Seema Dental College is affiliated with which University?
A. The college is affiliated with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education
University, Dehradun.
Q. When will Uttarakhand counseling start?
A. No date has yet been announced but you can expect the same by mid-July 2023.
Q. Is Hostel & Mess compulsory?
A. No, it’s optional but it always has the advantage of added security as it’s inside the
college campus and has 24hrs water and electricity supply along with indoor and outdoor
games court. Moreover, the cost of staying outside the college campus is approximately
the same.

Q. Is there any way we can book our seat in advance?
A. Admission is only possible through online counseling based on merit. Please keep in
mind that no one can take your seat in case you come in merit and likewise, you can’t
take the seat of any candidate if the candidate’s marks are greater than yours. Don’t fall
prey in case any person is asking for token money to book the seat.
Q. We want to visit the college. When can we visit the college?
A. One can visit any day, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is advised to call in
advance on mobile number 9837087627 to confirm that the college is open on the day
you are planning to visit to avoid any inconvenience.
Q. Will you inform us when Uttarakhand counseling starts?
A. Yes definitely. But you too keep in touch with us once a week. Do fill out the below-
mentioned Google Registration Form, if not yet filled by you, so that we have your contact
details.

Q. What can we do till counseling starts?
A. You can start preparing documents that we have already mentioned in the pdf file given
to you on your WhatsApp number. You have to deposit two lakh (Rs 2,00,000/-) out of
the total fee to the counseling board online (you’ll get the link for online payment) soon
after allotment of a seat so, make sure you have a Net-banking facility of any bank
(Google pay or other UPI payment systems has limit of 1 Lakh) or increase your
debit/credit card payment limit around 2,50,000/- from your bank so that you can
complete online payment process smoothly. Another way is to take the challan
generated by the counseling board to your bank and they will transfer the fee. In this
case, you must wait till the counseling board confirms the receipt and then only you can
complete the admission formalities.
Q. How much time does the counseling board give to complete all the formalities
including the submission of fees?
A. Usually, for a week. If you don’t complete the formalities, then your allotment stands
cancelled.
Q. After allotment of the seat do we have to come with luggage and baggage?
A. No, initially you have to come to complete the admission formalities. Usually after or
around MOP-UP we call students for joining college.
Q. How many rounds of counseling are there in Uttarakhand counseling?
A. Round-1, Round-2, Mop-up Round, and college level round. There may be an extra
round in case the counseling board receives instructions from the regulatory body.
Q. Is it possible to apply for the second round of counseling?
A. Yes, you can register in any round but keep in mind with every round you will compete
only for unclaimed seats only. It’s always advised to apply in the 1st round itself to
maximize the chances of getting a seat. Moreover, in the college-level round, only those
candidates are considered who register themselves for the MOP-UP round.

Q. Do you pay any amount during the internship period?
A. Yes, Rs 1,500/- as a stipend per month per student during the internship period.
Q. Can we deposit the college fee in cash or through a cheque?
A. No, cash/cheque is not accepted. Only bank transfers using net banking, NEFT/RTGS,
Demand Draft, Debit/Credit card, and UPI are accepted as modes of payment.
Q. Can we get the bank loan for BDS admission?
A. Yes, you can approach your local bank for loaning. Usually, the bank asks for the
admission letter which we can give only when you have deposited the complete fees
along with the required documents. So, you have to arrange money beforehand from
near and dear ones to complete the admission process and later when your loan is
approved, and money is transferred to our account we will refund you the amount you
have already deposited with us.
Q. Is there any placement after completing BDS?
A. Placement cells usually don’t exist in medical colleges. It is there in Engineering
colleges.
Q. Does college have any association with AIIMS, Rishikesh?
A. Initially we had MOU with AIIMS-Rishikesh for 5 years for clinical posting of 3rd Year
BDS students in the subject of General Medicine and General Surgery. The posting is
2 hours daily for 2 months only. The MOU ended in 2022 after which the clinical posting
of above two subjects is done at Government Hospital, Rishikesh.
