Concept on Computer Science

Computing is a field of scientific, technical and industrial activity concerning the automatic
processing of information by the execution of computer programs by machines : embedded
systems, computers, robots, automatons, etc.
Computer science is the science of processing information with electronic means.
It is designed to serve humans. It is concerned with recording, storing, processing,
organizing, transferring and presenting information in a usable form. Computing uses
electronics of which computers are a result.

DATA PROCESSING :
Information processing is the process of producing information developed from basic
information. The executor of this process is called “processor”

The term “Computing” comes from the contraction of the words : “Information” and
“Automatic”.
INFOR and MATIC = COMPUTER
Computer science is the science of automatic information processing.
Automatic information processing requires a set of tools called a computer system.
The computer system is made up of two essential parts, hardware and Software
a. Information : It is defined as an element of knowledge which is transmitted and
recorded temporarily or permanently in the memory of the person who receives it at
the risk of modifying their state of being. It is the basis or support of knowledge in
many areas of human life.
b. . Processing : This is the manipulation, modification or even transformation of
information.
c. Automatic (Automation) : this word comes from the verb “to automate” which
means the design, the implementation of a sequence of operations which can take
place or be triggered without human intervention.
