Demographics
As of the census of 2010, there were 6,151 people, 2,354 households, and 1,784 families residing in the city. The racial makeup of the city was 95.96% White, 1.01% African American, 0.16% Native American, 1.25% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.59% of the population. The majority of the city is religiously either Jewish or Roman Catholic.

His main deed restriction being that it be a public golf course for public use with all welcome. Rackham earned his fortune as an initial investor in Ford Motor Company and later gave up his practice of law to attend to his many philanthropic endeavors. He had completed the original Ford Motor Company incorporation for his friend, Henry Ford, for a mere $50.00. He was asked to invest in the fledgling company and scraped together $5,000.00 to secure a stake in the company. In a few short years his investment jumped to a worth of over $12,000,000.00 making him a very wealthy man.
