What is Muda?
Muda is Japanese for "waste." In Lean manufacturing, Muda refers to any activity that consumes resources but does not add
value to the product or service.

Types of Muda Examples of Muda


There are seven types of Muda: overproduction, waiting, Examples of Muda include producing more than is needed,
