CoS Round 21 Guide

Infra Purchasing Guide

You will notice below that I have attached both a pro and simple method for purchasing your infra and improvements. I highly recommend that you follow the pro method as the benefits are huge at such a small cost - once you have been through the steps in the guide word for word 3-4 times, you will get the hang of purchasing infra efficiently and be able to make the rough calculations speedily in your head, like I have learned to do - you will become a pro.

PRO INFRA PURCHASE METHOD (highly recommended)

Follow the following carefully, take your time over it and read the comment tip boxes on the right! Note than you take either step 7 or step 8, as well as either one step or the other for the other if conditions. 1. Roughly calculate your citizens per infra - write down this number which we will call A 2. Roughly calculate how much infra you can buy with your cash - write down this number which we will call B 3. Calculate the number of citizens you will need for another improvement slot write down this number which we will call C 4. Multiply A by B which will be the number of citizens you can gain and write this down as D 5. Calculate D C which will determine whether you can gain a new improvement slot and write this down as E 6. If E is not more than 1 (D is less than C), buy as much infra as possible with $5,000 remaining for emergency measures and then you are done with the pro method for today 7. If you have 5 factories and E is more than 1 (D is more than C): a. Calculate roughly how much money you will have spare after buying just enough infra for a new improvement slot which we will write down as F

b.

Calculate your next suggested improvements cost PLUS around $20,000

(this is because A is higher than actual due to land influencing your citizen count, and so you may end up with too few citizens

8.

and write this down as G c. If F is more than G, then buy as much infra as possible such that you have G or more cash remaining to buy your improvement. Then buy the suggested improvement (as found above) and go back to step 1 (or if it is obvious that you cant buy a new improvement - i.e. E is now less than 1, then go to step 6). If you have made it this far - congratulations that was an ideal pro infra purchase. d. If F is not more than enough to ensure that you can buy a new desired improvement, buy as much infra as possible with $5,000 remaining for emergency measures and then you are done with the pro method for today If you do not have 5 factories and E is more than 1 (D is more than C): a. If you have more than enough money to buy 100 infra, set H to 100, otherwise calculate how much infra you need to just be able to buy another improvement (factory) by getting to the next multiple of 500 citizens - write this down as H b. Calculate how much money H levels of infra will cost and write this down as J c. If J is at least $60,000 more than your current money surplus then: i. Purchase H levels of infra ii. Check to see if you have enough citizens for a new improvement iii. If you dont have enough citizens, then continue to purchase infra in amounts smaller than 1 level until you have enough citizens. If after continuing to purchase infra, you no longer have $50,000, buy as much infra as possible with $5,000 remaining for emergency measures and then you are done with the pro method for today iv. If you have enough citizens for a new improvement then buy a factory and go back to step 1 (or if it is obvious that you cant buy a new improvement - i.e. E is now less than 1,
for another improvement slot) then go to step 6)

d. If J is not at least $60,000 more than your current money surplus, buy as much infra as possible with $5,000 remaining for emergency measures and then you are done with the pro method for today

Simple Infra Purchase Method

(recommended only if you do not have 10 minutes to spare)

The simple method isnt as effective and efficient as the pro method, however it will get you your infra on a busy day. 1. Try to purchase the next suggested improvement. If you cannot afford it, go to step 2 2. Buy as much infra as possible in one go (50 levels or less) with at least $5,000 remaining 3. If you only have around $5,000 remaining then you are done with the simple method for today, otherwise go to step 1
