To the Dean of Liceo de Masbate College of Law

Atty. Bryan San Juan
(Through the Asst. Dean Ret. Judge Fred A. Bien)

I am writing to formally declare my candidacy for the position of President of the Student
Body for the upcoming academic year. As a dedicated and passionate student, I believe that I
possess the vision, leadership qualities, and commitment necessary to serve our student
community effectively.

Throughout my years in my previous university, I have been actively involved in various

student organizations and initiatives that have shaped my leadership skills, teamwork
abilities, and understanding of the needs and aspirations of my peers. I want to intentionally
serve the whole JD class.

If elected as President of the Student Body, my goals are centered on creating a stronger
sense of unity, addressing the concerns and ideas of all students, and ensuring that our voices
are heard and acted upon. I am committed in enhancing our networking opportunities, and
promoting a healthy lifestyle of life-study and work balance. I aim to:

1. Enhance Student Involvement: Encourage more students to participate in

clubs, events, and initiatives by making them more accessible and appealing.
2. Promote Mental Health and Well-being: Advocate for mental health
awareness and create a safe and supportive environment where students can seek help and
feel valued.
3. Foster Academic Growth and Opportunities: Collaborate with faculty and
administration to bring in new academic programs, workshops, and resources to help students
excel both inside and outside the classroom.

I am confident that with your support, we can make our school an even better place for
learning, personal growth, and community building. Together, we can ensure that every
student’s voice is heard, and every student’s potential is recognized.

Thank you for considering my candidacy. I am excited about the opportunity to serve our
student body and look forward to working closely with everyone to bring our shared vision to
life.

Sincerely,

Pinky Mari Rose Magbalon

1. Empowering Student Voices

• Open Forums and Regular Feedback Sessions: I will establish monthly open forums where
students can share their concerns, ideas, and suggestions with the student council and
administration. These will create an inclusive space for all students to express their opinions and
needs.
• Student Surveys: Regular surveys will be conducted to gather insights from students about
academic, social, and extracurricular issues. Your feedback will guide decision-making processes.

2. Enhancing School Spirit and Unity

• Cultural and Spirit Week Celebrations: Organize diverse and engaging cultural events,
competitions, and spirit weeks to promote unity and school pride, ensuring that everyone feels part
of the school community.
• School-Wide Collaborations: I will encourage collaboration between clubs, sports teams, and
organizations to create more inclusive and larger events that bring everyone together.

from trained peers in a safe and confidential environment.

4. Academic Excellence and Support

journey.
• Resource Center Expansion: I will advocate for the expansion of study resources like a 24/7
virtual resource center, more collaborative spaces, and access to academic tools to enhance
learning.

5. Inclusivity and Diversity

• Equal Representation of Student Groups: Ensure that all student groups, including minorities
and marginalized voices, are represented in school decisions. I will work closely with clubs that
promote diversity and inclusion.
• Cultural Appreciation Events: Host cultural appreciation weeks or festivals that celebrate the
diverse backgrounds of our student body, encouraging mutual respect and understanding.
6. Environmental Initiatives

• Sustainability Projects: Promote sustainability within the school by introducing eco-friendly

initiatives such as recycling programs, energy-saving campaigns, and zero-waste events.
• Green Spaces: Advocate for more green spaces on campus where students can relax and recharge
between classes.

7. Extracurricular Growth and Opportunities

• Support for Clubs and Organizations: Provide more funding, resources, and platforms for
student clubs and organizations to thrive, ensuring that students have ample opportunities to
explore their passions and hobbies.

reports to the student body about the activities and decisions made by the student council.
• Open Office Hours: I will hold weekly office hours where students can directly discuss their
concerns or suggestions with me, ensuring open communication.

9. Stronger School-Administration Collaboration

• Student Representation in Decision-Making: Advocate for greater student representation in key

school committees to ensure that students’ perspectives are considered in decisions about school
policies and improvements.
• Regular Meetings with Administration: Maintain a strong relationship with the school
administration to ensure that student needs and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Vision: A School Where Every Student is Heard, Valued, and Empowered to Succeed
As your Student Body President, my goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive
academically, socially, and emotionally. By fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaged school
environment, we can build a stronger, united community where every student’s voice matters.
