The expository or explanatory text


It is the type of text that serves to convey information or an explanation. It deals with
a knowledge acquired on which the author wishes to expand, clarify or point out causes.
In this type of text, ideas or opinions are not defended. It can appear in work genres.
schoolbook, textbook, medicine package insert, bulletin board, report, newspaper or magazine article, etc.

The most typical text format is that of questions and answers.

The author distances himself from the subject, producing an objective text, usually written
