RESOLUTION No. 2024-02
WHEREAS, the Barangay Development Council has prepared the Barangay Development
Plan of this barangay for the year 2024–2027;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Government Code of the Philippines RA 7160, every
barangay is mandated to establish a Barangay Development Council to ensure the
efficient and effective implementation of development plans, programs, and projects;
WHEREAS, the Barangay Zone 1 Development Plan CY 2024-2027 after review, is found
to be in line with the development policies and priorities of the Barangay Government
and the Municipal Development Council;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Arturo A. Taniñas Jr., duly seconded by
Kagawad Brenda G. Escobañez;
BE IT RESOLVED as it hereby resolved to approve the Barangay Zone 1 Development
Plan CY 2024-2027as prepared;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Municipal
Development Council for further appropriate action.

SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY RESOLUTION
No. 2024-55
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE THREE (3) YEAR BARANGAY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2024 – 2027) FOR BARANGAY ZONE 1, TUBUNGAN, ILOILO
WHEREAS, the Barangay Development Council has endorsed for approval and
adoption by the Sangguniang Barangay the three (3) year Barangay Development Plan
(2024 – 2027) for Barangay Zone 1, Tubungan, Iloilo;
WHEREAS, Republic Act 7160, also known as Local Government Code of 1991,
mandates the formulation and approval of barangay development plans;
WHEREAS, after review, the said Barangay Development Plan, as attached, is
found to be aligned with the development policies of the Barangay Government and the
Municipal Development Council;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Barangay Member Emelita T.
Talledo duly seconded by Sangguniang Barangay Member Willeam Vicente T.
Gargaritano,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Zone 1, Tubungan,
Iloilo, in session duly assembled, as it is hereby resolved to approve and adopt the
Barangay Development Plan (2024 – 2027) as endorsed by the Barangay Development
Council;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to all
concerned for their information and consideration.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Barangay this 4 th day of August,
2024 at Barangay Zone 1, Tubungan, Iloilo.

MESSAGE
The barangay is the basic political unit of the society wherein group
of people are residing and governed by its elected officials. Officials who
are empowered to lead, form and develop a community. Officials who are
righteous leaders who can lead this people into the right direction with
transparency, accountability and equality.
We, the Barangay Officials are entrusted to serve our people.
Considered as public servants, we, upon taking our oath are tasked to do
our duties and responsibilities defined to us with great challenges.
Stipulated in Section 384. Chap. 1 of the Local Government Code of
1991, the barangay is the primary planning and implementing unit of the
government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities in the
community. Formulation of the Barangay Development Plan with the
Barangay Development Council shall be based on the pressing needs of
the barangay using the revenues and resources with the IRA of the
barangay is our priority, making sure that formulated plans and programs
are feasible and visions are attainable. We are bound to lead in working
the plan with patience and determination bearing in mind that we are
always accountable of our actions.
Likewise, we should be effective and efficient leaders because these
qualities are the assurance that basic services are delivered effectively
and efficiently to the people. But still, we need the cooperation and gain
the trust and confidence of our barangay constituents to achieve a
sustainable and inclusive development.
Hence, let us do our part, and be instruments in the attainment of
our aspired community development.
