Hair coloring do’s and dont’s
Welcome back to my weekly column, your
guide to all things beautiful. I must confess how
traumatic it is for me to even enter the grocery

great city of Akron without a clue!!!!

I am here to tell you there is no product that can
deliver these"magical" results and here’s why.. 1/2 oz Vodka

1. Most companies in a mass market category
1 oz Black Haus
use the least amount of any one "natural extract"
to deliver any real long lasting results. Pour the Black Haus blackberry

Tasty Jones’ Mind your P’s and Q’s
The saying “Mind your

Giant Jenga and more... P's and Q's” comes from the time when alcoholic
beverages were served and sold in Pints or Quarts.
With many great bars to choose from, how
does one decide which one tonight? If you are Thus, to mind your P's and Q's meant to be

music then I have the place for you to visit.
Tasty Jones’ has always been a favorite of
mine. I started out just eating there during the day. I
sampled almost everything on the menu, which has a
Thanksgiving Eve
unique variety of fairly priced gourmet appitizers.
Soon after that I learned of the awesome nightlife that
Jones’ has to offer. As you can see on the cover they
have set a new standard for “drinking games”. Giant
Jenga is my personal favorite. They also have an ex-
quisite bochy ball pit. All of these enjoyments are free
for patrons of this wonderfull establishment.
Last but not least, the live music Tasty Jones’
Whiskey Dicks
offers is second to none. Again this is a very laid back
enviroment and they intend to keep it that way. So you
won’t find any head banging, ear bleeding, mosh pit-

ting shows here. You will however get a great blend
of VERY talented local musicians in Akron every

Artist of the Week by Athena

The Busted Knuckle House Band

The Busted Knuckle Saloon is home to a group of guys who make
up thier House Band. From watching the guys play a mix of music from
southern rock to eighties, you get a sense that they all just enjoy playing
together. Each member of the band has been contributing to the Akron
music scene for roughly 30 years, and everything about the band from
the members, to the music, to The Busted Knuckle Saloon keeps an air
of rock and roll. The House Band has only been playing together for a
year and a half which is definitely not apparent in the way the guys relate
on stage, or by watching thier awesome performances.

“Nobody plays blues like Hurricane!” Frank, a Busted Knuckle Saloon customer said.

If I’m keeping it real, like I promised, I’d like to also take a minute to say that I enjoy a long haired, good
looking, biker man in leather, and this bar did not disappoint!! So, if you want a night of good looking men, who
play classic great music, do not hesitate to put on those leather pants you have in the back of your closet,
have some drinks, and let the Busted Knuckle Saloon House Band start your party!

The House Band: Hurricane James - Guitar/Vocals , Dave Thomas - Guitar/Vocals, Keith
Wiley - Bass/Vocals, Joe Isaac Guitar/Vocals, Jesse Lee - Drums/Vocals. The Busted Knuckle
Saloon House band also plays with frequent additional member’s includeing Jefferson Rice -
Keys/Sax/Vocals, Doug Ramsey - Bass/Guitar/Keys/Vocals, Jeff Tyson - Keys/Guitar/Vocals.

You can visit The Busted Knuckle Saloon at 1221 S.Arlington St in Akron.
330-724-2427 Open daily from 12:00pm - 2:30am. You can also give the band a shout out on there myspace
page at http://www.myspace.com/bustedknuckleband. Don’t forget to check the guys out every Wed, Thurs,
Fri, and Sat night, it’s a great show!
