BUILDING GAMES. SET AMIDST THE PICTURESQUE ROMANIAN COUNTRYSIDE, WE EMBARKED ON
THESE ACTIVITIES IN THE COMPANY OF ADORABLE LOCAL DOGS.
IN THE FIRST GAME, WE PAIRED UP AND TOOK TURNS BEING THE BLINDFOLDED GUIDE AND
THE SIGHTED LEADER. THE BLINDFOLDED PARTNER RELIED SOLELY ON THEIR PARTNER'S
GENTLE HAND GESTURES TO NAVIGATE THE TERRAIN.
THE SECOND GAME, KNOWN AS "DRUNKEN BOTTLE," INVOLVED FORMING SMALL GROUPS OF
FIVE. ONE PERSON CLOSED THEIR EYES AND FELL BACKWARD INTO THE ARMS OF THEIR
TEAMMATES, DEMONSTRATING THE IMPORTANCE OF TRUST AND TEAMWORK.

THE MOST EXCITING FROM THE
TEAMBUILDING GAMES WAS THE
TREASURE HUNT. WE WORKED IN SMALL TEAMS,
WHICH BROUGHT US TOGETHER AND
GOT THE CHANCE TO GET TO KNOW

PROVIDE MEDICINE FOR HER MOM AND TO AND ONE DAY SHE DECIDED TO GO
PROVIDE FOOD FOR HER SIBLINGS .BUT ONE TO MUNICIPALITY TO ASK FOR
DAY SOME NEIGHBORS CALLED THE POLICE SOCIAL BENEFITS, BUT THE GUY WHO

AND SHE FELT REALLY BAD AND SHE
KEPT CRYING BECAUSE SHE WANTED

AND TODAY SHE HAD TWO
OPTIONS EITHER TO GO TO DO
PROSTITUTE OR TO STEAL FROM
THE PHARMACY
AND THE GRANDPA ASK THE

AND EVEN RECORDING HER REACTIONS.
THIS DEEPLY WOUNDED HER, AND SHE
WALKED HOME WITH A SHATTERED HEART,
TEARS STREAMING DOWN HER FACE.
TURNING OFF HER PHONE AND CLOSING ALL
HER WINDOWS, SHE FELL INTO A DEEP
SLEEP, SEEKING REFUGE IN DREAMS WHERE
LIGHT OUTSHONE HER HARSH REALITY.
UPON WAKING, SHE FELT

INTERCULTURAL EVENINGS WERE A HIGHLIGHT FOR MANY PARTICIPANTS. WE
HAD THE CHANCE TO SHARE WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT OUR COUNTRIES AND TEACH
OTHERS ABOUT OUR CULTURES.
FIRST, EVERYONE VISITED EACH TABLE TO LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENT CULTURES AND
TRY THE FOOD AND DRINKS. WE HAD TWO EVENINGS OF CULTURAL EXCHANGE.
EVERY COUNTRY SHOWCASED THEIR TRADITIONS AND CUISINE.

EVENING
FINALLY, THERE WAS THE ROMANIAN
EVENING. THE PARTICIPANTS HAD
THE OPPORTUNITY TO TASTE
TRADITIONAL ROMANIAN FOOD
(DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE THEY
WERE ALREADY EATING EVERYDAY),
PARTICIPATE IN TRADITIONAL
DANCES AND LISTEN TO STORIES BY
THE FIRE.

AS PART OF OUR PROJECT’S FINAL
PRODUCTS, PARTICIPANTS WERE
TASKED WITH CREATING TWO FORUM
THEATER PLAYS. THEIR FINAL
PERFORMANCE HAD AN AUDIENCE OF
LOCAL YOUNGSTERS.
THE FIRST PLAY WAS ABOUT A
FISH MERCHANT NAMES MOSES
WHO WAS SELLING HIS GOODS IN
EGYPT. HE WAS OF ISRAELI
DESCENT AND THUS, AN
IMMIGRANT. NEXT TO HIS STALL
WAS ANOTHER MAN ALSO SELLING
FISH WHO WAS JEALOUS OVER
THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WERE
BUYING FROM MOSES’ STALL.
AS A RESULT, HE TRIES TO GET
MOSES KICKED OUT OF THE
MARKET. WE FOLLOW HIM AS HE
TRIES TO FIGHT AGAISNT THIS
DISCRIMINATION BUT
UNFORTUNATELY FAILS. OF COURSE,
THAT IS UNTIL THE PLAY STARTS
AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING AND

THE SECOND PLAY REVOLVED
AROUND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. IT
FOLLOWED THE STORY OF A
WOMAN WHOSE HUSBAND USED
TO OWN A BUSINESS.
UNFORTUNATELY, IT WENT
BANKRUPT AND HER HUSBAND LOST
HIS JOB, SPENDING ALL HIS TIME
AT HOME TAKING CARE OF THEIR
CHILD.
THE WOMAN IS FRUSTRATED WITH
HER HUSBAND AND OFTEN LASHES OUT
AT BOTH HIM AND THEIR CHILD. THE
HUSBAND’S FATHER IS ALSO LIVING
WITH THEM AND TRIES TO CONVINCE
HIS SON TO STAND UP TO HIS WIFE’S
TREATMENT. THE WIFE ALSO HAS AN AFFAIR
WITH THEIR NEIGHBOUR THAT
SHE VENTS HER FRUSTRATIONS TO.
IN THE END, THE HUSBAND CAN’T
DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE
SITUATION AND THE WIFE GETS
TOGETHER WITH THE NEIGHBOUR.
HELPLESS, THE HUSBAND DECIDES
TO END HIS OWN LIFE.

SITUATIONS. ONE WAS A GIRL WITH
SOCIAL ANXIETY FEARING THAT
EVERYONE WILL MAKE FUN OF HER
WHEN SHE SPEAKS IN PUBLIC.
ANOTHER ONE WAS A GIRL WITH
OCD BEING AFRAID OF TOUCHING
PEOPLE AND SURFACES. AND THE LAST
ONE WAS A BOY HAVING AN
ARGUMENT WITH HIS FRIEND
BECAUSE HE FORGOT HIS BIRTHDAY
DUE TO A DEPRESSIVE EPISODE.
