Activity Scoring Criteria

Outline was submitted on time. Outline was thorough, well thought-out, and complete. A sample was submitted with the
outline. When activity was conducted there was evidence of use of written and verbal suggestions and ideas. No last minute
demands were made of the teacher for suggestions/ideas/location of supplies and materials. Activity was prepared in advance of
the arrival of children to the activity. Proper attention-getter/arrangement of the activity/environment to attract attention was
made to create curiosity and invite the children to the activity. Activity was designed to build on skills/interests of some of the
children in the group. Activity was developmentally appropriate (dap) and/or adaptations were made while conducting the
activity to make it developmentally appropriate for the children’s interest, attention spans, following the child’s lead. Activity
was ended smoothly. Complete clean up occurred. * Preparation of the environment occurred to eliminate distractions prior to
the activity beginning. * Resource books, internet, etc. were consulted and referenced. * Activity is maintained throughout the
week: materials are added or replaced as needed.
