1. Appendix
Microscopic Finding / Examination
Sections show appendix. All the layers are infiltrated with acute inflammatory cells especially in the
muscle layer.
No evidence of malignancy is seen.
Diagnosis: Acute appendicitis
2. Gall Bladder
Microscopic Finding / Examination
Sections show gall bladder wall. It reveals infiltration of chronic inflammatory cells in all the layers &
few perimuscular fibrosis.
No evidence of malignancy is seen.
Diagnosis: Chronic cholecystitis
3. Lymph Node
Microscopic Finding / Examination
Sections show lymph node. It reveals multiple granulomas composed of epithelioid cells,
lymphocytes and histiocytes. Large areas of caseation necrosis and Langhans' type of giant cells
are also present.
No evidence of malignancy is seen.
Diagnosis: Granulomatous lymphadenitis histologically consistent with tuberculosis.
4. Prostate
Microscopic Finding / Examination
Sections show prostatic tissue. It reveals proliferating fibromuscular and glandular components

Diagnosis: Nodular hyperplasia of Prostate
